Grad Slam is entering its second decade with the 2024 Showcase!

As we build on the successes from last year's revamped event, we continue to bring our campus and community together to learn more about the awesome research done by our graduate students.

This year, we will reprise our reconfigured preliminary rounds, simplified scoring, and diverse and representative judging panels. Our graduate students from across campus will deliver their best 3-minute pitch that captures their research in a clear and compelling way.

For 2024, we are excited to launch a Fundamentals in Public Speaking certificate as part of the preparation we provide our Grad Slam presenters.

This series of workshops is a must-have for those who are planning to present at one of the preliminary rounds, but the workshops and certificate are open to any graduate student or postdoctoral scholar who wants to gain expertise in crafting short narrative-based public talks. No Grad Slam participation required! Though we of course encourage graduate students to sign up to present.
