Joe Sabado '97

Joe Sabado, a proud UCSB alumnus and first-generation student, serves as the Deputy CIO at his alma mater, bringing over 24 years of higher education IT experience to the university. With a mission to make positive impacts globally through education, compassion, and inspiration, Joe embodies purpose-driven leadership and conscientiousness in all his endeavors. He actively mentors students and staff, particularly those from marginalized communities, including LGBTQIA, First-Gens, and Asian Americans, consistently contributing to the campus community throughout his tenure at UCSB. Joe approaches his work with an abundance mindset and an attitude of gratitude, always striving to serve others.
